Conceived as a green-house amidst beautiful shade trees, the Botanical Gardens Cafeteria articulates a 2 story dining room tower with a lower horizontal block housing kitchen and supplementary facilities. The project is sited in a way that converging paths and a reflecting pool provide distinctly different views of the project.
This project garnered honors at a recent Puerto Rico and Caribbean Biennal as well as a 1994 AIA Honor Award for Excellence in Design.
