	Slated for completion in 1999, the Museo de Artes de Puerto Rico will house and restore works of Puerto Rico's most significant artists as well as many travelling exhibitions. The Museum complex is composed of four elements. The first is a restora-tion of a historic hospital where the museum's permanent collection is housed. The second is a 100,000 sq. ft. addition housing temporary exhibition galleries, restaurant, auditorium and technical/administrative functions. The third element is a 600 space parking lot wich will serve the museum as well as adjoining goverment offices. The fourth element is a 1 acre park/sculpture garden on the eastern edge of the project property.
